Information Collection and Usage

At REALflyer, we believe that the information you provide us for your Order belongs to you and you alone. Your document, image and address files are your property and are not used for any purpose except to process your Order. We keep your files for 30 days so that we may refer to them in the unlikely event that there is a problem with your Order. After 30 days, your files are purged from REALflyer's secure servers.

How does REALflyer use the information it collects?
When you register at REALflyer, we request your name, email address, phone number, and postal address. We use this data to manage registrations, and, when you place an order, contact you about your order and to print your return address on REALflyer envelopes. On the Registration Page, all information that is required for you to submit in order to register with REALflyer is identified with an asterisk. We may use your email address, mailing address and/or phone number to contact you regarding new service offerings, promotions and discounts, and other aspects of your use of the REALflyer Web site. If, however, you do not wish to receive such communications in email form, you have the ability to "opt-out" when you register, or at any time thereafter. If you do not wish to receive such communications by mail or phone, please contact REALflyer Customer Service at 1-877-732-5359.

On the REALflyer Registration Page, there is a checkbox that permits you to 'Subscribe to REALflyer news and events'. If you wish to subscribe, REALflyer will occasionally send you emails regarding promotions, new service offerings, and/or tips on direct marketing. Subscribing to REALflyer has many benefits, but is entirely optional.

In order to take payment for your order, we collect credit card information. To maintain the highest level of security, your credit card information is encrypted usingsecure sockets layer (SSL) technology. SSL is secure server software that protects against any unauthorized access. REALflyer uses your credit card information for the sole purpose of accepting payment for your order. In order to create a better and more effective electronic community, we may occasionally send you email communications regarding REALflyer service offerings and other aspects of your use of the REALflyer Web site. As noted above, you have the ability to "opt-out" of receiving these communications at any time, and your responding to such communications is always optional. If you choose to respond, however, we may collect specific user profile information from any links you click in the email communication from us. Our Web server automatically gathers this information by reference to any URL that you link from. We compile aggregate information so that we can identify broad demographic trends and, thereby, offer services and information better tailored to our customer's interests.

From time to time, we may ask you to answer surveys regarding current or future REALflyer services. The purpose of such surveys is to help us develop our Site and services to better meet our users' needs. Participation in these surveys is always optional. Survey responses are only used in the aggregate, and are never linked to an individual. While our survey data is primarily for use within REALflyer only, we may occasionally share the aggregate survey data with our development partners (e.g. Web design, advertising and marketing agencies) in order to facilitate the development of new services.

REALflyer sometimes runs promotional contests for its users or a subset of users. When we run a contest, your participation is always optional.

Marketing Partnerships and Co-Branding
We may occasionally have a special relationship with another company, an entity that we think of as a marketing partner. By this we mean that a portion or version of our Web site is integrated into our partner's Web site, or is integrated with our partner's content or branding. This means that a user accesses REALflyer by clicking on a hyperlink from a marketing partner's site. Then, upon reaching REALflyer, our Web site is co-branded, i.e., it contains our marks and branding and it contains the name and branding of our marketing partner. In such a circumstance, because we are jointly presenting our Web site with our partner, and because the partner is referring customers to REALflyer, we may agree to share information with the partner as part of our formal contract with that partner, including confidentiality and use obligations and restrictions regarding how the partner may use the information. In these instances where REALflyer and a partner jointly promote REALflyer's Services, REALflyer may provide the partner certain personal information, (i.e., name, address, email and telephone) as a result of the joint promotion of REALflyer. We only share this information for users coming to REALflyer from a partner Web site, and only for users who have not 'opted out' of receiving communications other than those specific to a Job Order. Again, at the point of registration, you have the option to "opt-out" of receiving emails or promotional materials. As noted above, if you have linked to REALflyer through a marketing partner as described here, the Web page you view will be co-branded with the marketing partner. If you would like information about the information use and practices of a marketing partner, REALflyer recommends that you view the privacy policy of the marketing partner.

How we use tracking information
Like almost every Web site, the REALflyer Web site records certain tracing information any time someone visits the site. For every Web page that is viewed, our Web server records an IP address, the geographic location of the ISP (Internet Service Provider), the operating system, browser version and the name of the page that was viewed. Additionally, we record duration of a visit. This information is not linked to any specific user, rather it is collected and analyzed in aggregate form in order for us to assess web traffic and load, so that we can maintain the REALflyer Site, as well as develop future enhancements of the Web site.

How we use cookies
A cookie is a small piece of information that is stored by your browser on your computer's hard drive. REALflyer only uses a temporary cookie for session management purposes. Your privacy and security are not compromised when you accept a cookie from the REALflyer web site. No one can access the information except REALflyer. You may set your browser so as not to accept cookies, however, if you do so, you will not be able to sign in.

Links to other sites
Our Web site contains links to sites developed by other companies and organizations. Please be aware that these sites' privacy policies may differ from ours.

REALflyer offers an Affiliate Program, by which a user may act as sales agents for REALflyer by placing a link to REALflyer on his web site. REALflyer then pays the Affiliate a commission for sales to users who link to REALflyer through the Affiliate's Web site. In order to become an Affiliate, you must provide information about the Web site on which you will place the link to REALflyer: Web site name, URL, type of business, and Web site visitor demographics. Additionally, you must provide certain information in order that we may contact you and make payment to you: name, address, telephone, email, taxpayer ID number and type, tax classification, and owner name (for sole proprietorships).

Security

REALflyer Web site security
The REALflyer Web site uses secure sockets layer (SSL) to encrypt the transfer of sensitive information, such as your account password and billing information, from your Web browser to our Web server.

The same SSL protocol also acts to authenticate the www.realflyer.com site and prevent unauthorized "hackers" from masquerading as the REALflyer site. This is accomplished through a "digital certificate", which is an unforgeable electronic "identity card".

If another Web Site attempts to falsely identify itself as www.realflyer.com, your Web browser will display a warning indicating that there is a problem with the digital certificate for www.realflyer.com. Do not log in to the REALflyer site if you see any such warning.

REALflyer data center security
REALflyer's data centers are located in highly secure facilities. These facilities are guarded 24 hours a day and log the movement of all authorized visitors via electronic badge locks and surveillance cameras. REALflyer's data centers are located in a separately locked area within these secure facilities.

The REALflyer data center computers communicate with each other using a private network behind a "firewall" that prevents any unauthorized access to our machines. Even with all this protection, REALflyer only stores credit card information on its servers in encrypted form, thereby adding yet another measure of protection for our customers.

REALflyer production center security
REALflyer automated production centers are located in separate secure facilities to prevent unauthorized access and only a small number of REALflyer employees directly related to production have access to these facilities. Communication between REALflyer data centers and production centers is accomplished using secure encrypted data lines.

How you can help keep your information secure
The most important step you can take to keep your information secure is to keep your password secure. Do not give your password to other people and avoid choosing "easily guessed" passwords (e.g. any single word in the dictionary, proper names of people and places easily associated with you, etc.). Change your password immediately if you suspect someone has been accessing your account without your permission (click on the "My Account" section of the REALflyer Web site after logging in). If for any reason you suspect a security violation has occurred, please immediately send an email to support@realflyer.com with a description of the situation.

Your Consent
In addition to the circumstances described above, REALflyer may disclose or release information when we, in good faith, believe that doing so is reasonably necessary to (i) comply with the law, (ii) enforce or apply the terms of any of our user agreements, or (iii) protect the rights, property or safety of REALflyer, our users, or others. By using our Web site, you consent to the collection and use of information by REALflyer as described in this Privacy Policy.

Notification of Changes
If we decide to change our Privacy policy, we will post these changes here so you will always know what information we gather, how we use it and under what circumstances we disclose it. If, at some point in the future, there is a change to our information usage practices that affects your Personally Identifiable Information, we will use reasonable efforts to inform you by email of the relevant changes. At that time, you will be able to opt out of this information usage by sending a message to the following email address: support@realflyer.com. You should also check this posted Privacy Statement for any changes. If you have any questions regarding REALflyer's privacy policy and practices, please direct them to the REALflyer privacy coordinator at privacy@realflyer.com.

Glossary

Aggregate
When a site states that they collect information in the aggregate, they mean for summary purposes only. For example, sites that collect IP addresses "in the aggregate" do so to answer such questions as: "How many people from America Online visited our site last week?"

Return to Privacy Policy Contents

Cookies
Cookies are small pieces of information that a Web site stores in your computer. Temporary, or session, cookies only last as long as your browser is running. Persistent cookies are stored on your hard disk (they take up very little space). Sites often use cookies to identify repeat visitors and offer them personalized service, or to simply associate data with a particular visitor, like a shopping cart.

Return to Privacy Policy Contents

IP Address
When you are connected to the Internet, your computer has a unique Internet ID called an IP address. Most people that connect through a dial-up service, such as America Online, get a different IP address each time they login. Others logging in from work or school might have a permanently assigned IP address, called a static IP address. It is difficult or impossible for a Web site to collect personal information about you (i.e., your name, email address, etc.) from your IP address alone, although a static IP Address can be used to identify a little bit more about you (i.e. your company name, or university name).

Return to Privacy Policy Contents

SSL (Secure Sockets Layer)
SSL is a communication protocol that accomplishes two things:

1. It allows your Web browser to verify that a Web site you're visiting is actually the site that you think it is (and not some site posing as another).

2. It lets your Web browser and a Web server communicate with each other (i.e. pass Web pages back and forth) in a completely secure fashion through the use of very strong encryption techniques. This encrypted communication makes it impossible for anyone else to see any information passed between your Web browser and our Web server.
